Moose River

In October 2019 Valutec started up North America's first TC continuous kiln at Pleasant Rivers site Moose River in Jackman, ME. The kiln is mainly used to dry balsam fir and spruce.

Pleasant River Lumber is a 100% U.S., family-owned Maine business with four generations of experience in the forest products industry. Over the years, they have built their reputation on quality, service and attention to detail. The investment in the two TC kilns from Valutec is intended to contribute to an increase in production capacity by 50 per cent in the coming years.

-The installation process was smooth without any major issues. And when we saw one of the kilns in our mill for the first time we knew we made the right decision, says Jason Brochu, owner Pleasant River Lumber.

Milestone for Valutec - the first TC kiln in North America is now in operation>>
