UPM selects continuous kiln from Valutec
Finnish company UPM has chosen to invest in a continuous kiln from Valutec for its sawmill in Korkeakoski.
“UPM is known for its excellent product quality. So it feels really great to know that they chose us, as we always put quality first,” says Mikko Pitkänen, Country Manager at Valutec Oy.
UPM Timber is a Nordic sawn timber producer with four sawmills in Finland with a combined annual production capacity of over 1.5 million cubic metres. The sawmill in Korkeakoski opened in 1960. Its main product is redwood sawn timber for the joinery industry.
The kiln type is an OTC continuous kiln. The turnkey delivery consists also energy measuring system, pressure frames and Valutec’s Valmatics control system.
